If your asset is showing GPS Mileage instead of the actual odometer reading, it typically means the Eagle One tracker is either unable to retrieve odometer data via the CANBUS (OBD) connection or it is connected using the 12V battery cable, which does not support odometer data capture. In these cases, the system uses GPS signals to calculate mileage. GPS Mileage provides a close approximation to the true odometer reading after the initial sync, but slight differences may occur over time. To maintain accuracy, we recommend manually adjusting the GPS Mileage periodically.
To adjust the GPS Mileage, please follow the below instructions:
(1) In the Map View, click on the asset you want to update.
(2) Click on “Asset Details” to open the asset’s information page.
(3) Click the pencil icon next to the GPS Mileage field.
(4) Enter the correct mileage value to synchronize with your vehicle’s odometer or to support accurate maintenance tracking.
(5) GPS Mileage is now updated.
