Momentum’s Driver Scorecards track driving behaviors like idling, speeding, and hard braking over time. Use scores and instant alerts to encourage safer driving, reward top performers, and reduce liability.
Here's how to set up drivers in your Momentum software to start viewing driver scorecards.
Add an Employee
- With CrewID: If you’re using CrewID for setup, follow the “How to Add an Employee”. Make sure the employee is designated as a Driver but don’t assign the employee to an asset. Your CrewID will automatically link the driver to an asset improving accuracy and providing a more precise Driver Score. For more details, visit the CrewID page or contact Customer Success.
- Without CrewID: If you don't have CrewIDs, follow the instructions in “How to Add an Employee”. Make sure the employee is designated as a Driver and assigned to an asset. To get a Scorecard with behaviors monitored by our AI-powered dash cams, such as aggressive acceleration, hard braking, and fast cornering, the employee must be assigned to an asset with a dash cam installed
Adjust the Driver Scorecard setting
To tailor how driver performance is evaluated, you can customize the Driver Scorecard settings to match your company’s safety standards and policies.
To access these settings, go to “Settings” under “Employees”, then scroll down to the Driver Scorecard Settings section.
Here, you can:
- Set thresholds for different driving behaviors
- Adjust penalty points assigned to each behavior
-
Define speeding severity based on either:
- A fixed speed over the limit, or
- A percentage over the posted speed limit
These settings allow you to align scoring with what matters most to your operations, whether that’s stricter speeding enforcement or prioritizing certain safety behaviors.. For details on how scoring works, see How a Driver Score is Calculated.
View individual Drivers' Score
Once the driver has taken a few trips, you can check their score in their employee profile. This score is based on their driving behavior over time.
View Team Driver Score report
For a full view of your team’s driving performance, go to the "Driver Score" section under the Reports tab. This report gives you an overview of the team’s performance, highlighting key metrics and events.
